कळे न मजला इतके भीषण काय म्हणालो
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
तशी तिची अन माझी ओळख नव्हती तरिही
तशी बायको सोबत माझी होती तरिही
नकळत माझ्या छातीमध्ये कळ आली अन
तिला केशरी बासुंदीची साय म्हणालो
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
नकळत जे ओठांवर आले, कसे आवरू?
चुकून मी पत्नीस म्हणालो 'पहा पाखरू'
तिला पाखरू म्हटलो ते म्हटलोच आणि मी
'तिच्यापुढे तू अगदीच गोगलगाय' म्हणालो
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
तिला पाहुनी जरी बायको 'अहा' म्हणाली
चला घरी मग तुम्हा दावते, पहा म्हणाली
घडायचे जे घरात, डोळ्यासमोर आले...
(दिसेल माझे नशीब दुसरे काय? म्हणालो!)
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
हाय ऐकुनी तरुणी तर ती हसून गेली
मला पाहण्या पत्नी कंबर कसून गेली!
धावत मी पत्नीच्या मागे जाता जाता...
परिणामांना मी डरतो की काय म्हणालो!
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
जरी तिला बोलांचा माझ्या तिटकाराही
मला आवडे तिचा असा हा फणकाराही
चिडल्यावरती नेहमीच ती सुंदर दिसते!
म्हणून तर भलत्या तरुणीला हाय म्हणालो!
सुंदर तरुणी दिसल्यावर मी हाय म्हणालो!
